Mitsubishi Motors Save Doctors, Save Lives, Fight Against COVID-19
Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is standing together with Thailand in its fight against COVID-19 with a series of relief efforts. In response to the critical needs for providing treatments to COVID-19 patients, the company has rolled out “Mitsubishi Motors Save Doctors, Save Lives, Fight Against COVID-19”. Through this initiative actively joined by its employees, the company made a donation of critical medical and protective equipment. Every Mitsubishi car purchase from April 1 - 30, 2020 also contributes THB 1,000 for this donation.
Collaborating with its dealer network, the company has speeded the allocation of sophisticated ventilators, high quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and N95 masks to 6 hospitals in Bangkok and remote areas hard hit by the outbreak impacts. The supports will significantly contribute to COVID-19 symptoms treatments and safeguarding health and safety of the healthcare heroes.
Mr. Morikazu Chokki, President and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said “Thailand has been coping with massive challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This fight is led by frontline heroes in healthcare, who work tirelessly to save lives and slow the outbreak. We appreciate and thank them for their dedication. To show our support together with our dealers, we have urgently put together a package to support the hospitals. We hope our humble donations will facilitate our frontliners and contribute to Thailand’s efforts in containing the outbreak.”
7 units of ventilator, 1,400 units of high-quality PPE and 4,000 units of N95 mask have been delivered or are on their way to the following 6 hospitals:
1. Rajavithi Hospital Bangkok
2. Laemchabang Hospital Chonburi
3. Thalang Hospital Phuket
4. Patong Hospital Phuket
5. Yala Hospital Yala
6. Pattani Hospital Pattani
On a separate effort, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand will also donate 500 units of N95 mask to the Disaster Mitigation Center, Royal Thai Air Force and Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, Directorate of Medical Services, Royal Thai Air Force to help shield personnel as they carry out operations.
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s contribution is a reflection of its commitment to its corporate social responsibility’s vision “To contribute and grow with Thai society”. With a key focus on public health and in the face of the pandemic, in addition to this donation, the company will continue to monitor the situation and deploy additional initiatives to help tackle the pandemic.
