Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Launches New! XPANDER CROSS: LIVE LIFE ADVENTURE

BANGKOK – February 17, 2023: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has launched the new Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS, featuring more premium and sporty design engineered for both the daily use of modern families and active drivers who love adventures and outdoor activities. Enhanced with a new driving system that includes Active Yaw Control (AYC) as new advanced safety technology, the seven-seater SUV provides “above–the-class” safety, security, and comfort in a variety of weather and road conditions.

XPANDER was planned to have the DNA of Mitsubishi Motors icon products - Pajero Sport - and premium compact MPV crossover. The Gen 2 New XPANDER was launched at the Motor Show in March 2022. This model was refined with advanced SUV design, with class-leading supreme interior quality, new CVT, and enhanced suspension.

STYLISH ADVENTUROUS EXTERIOR DESIGN

The new Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS comes with a refreshed front and rear design to further emphasize a sportier, more macho and dynamic appearance. The Advanced Dynamic Shield design has evolved to give the SUV a more premium and robust look. Supplemented by LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRL), LED turning lights and LED fog lamps, Mitsubishi Motors’ designers have created a tougher and more futuristic expression. At the rear, the upgraded tailgate is complemented by LED rear combination lights with LED high-mount stop light to improve visibility at night.

Lending to the rugged overtones are new 17-inch two-toned machine finished alloy wheels with larger tires, harmonized with the ‘CROSS Design’ front grille, front and rear bumper, door garnishes and wheel arch molding. Additionally, the roof and roof rails are finished in black to sharpen the overall presence. The exterior has four color selections including a new Green Bronze Metallic, Quartz White Pearl, Blade Silver and Graphite Gray, as well as a selection of two-tone colors in Green Bronze Metallic with Black Roof, and Quartz White Pearl with Black Roof.

PREMIUM INTERIOR WITH COMFORT & UTILITIES

The finely crafted interior gives a sense of premium, highlighted by leather seats with heat guard function finished in black and navy blue. Based on the Horizontal Axis design concept, the instrument panel of the new Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS adopts an 8-inch LCD display that allows drivers to access a variety of information and a new four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with cruise control function and multi-function control switch.

Apart from comfort and roominess, all occupants will enjoy plenty of technology including a 9-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connection compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS is also equipped with electronic parking brake with brake auto hold, USB-A and USB-C ports, DC 12V accessory power socket, rear climate controls with ventilation outlets, auto dimming rearview mirror and rain-sensing front wipers. It also comes with auto headlights and digital air-conditioning with PM 2.5 filter.

ADVANCED SAFETY TECHONOLOGY FOR YOU AND EVERYONE YOU LOVE

The premium adventurous SUV also features enhanced comfort and a more secure drive delivered by Mitsubishi’s Active Yaw Control (AYC) system. AYC controls the driving and braking forces between the front left and right wheels, improving cornering performance and stability of the SUV particularly on slippery roads.

Other standard safety features include Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control System (TCL), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal System (ESS), dual airbags, side impact protection beams and pedestrian protection. In addition to best-in-class 220 mm ground clearance for better visibility and drivability, the SUV is fitted with improved suspension for a more stable and pleasurable ride.

POWERTRAIN & PRICE

Powering the new Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder MIVEC DOHC engine which produces 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and 141-Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The powertrain is coupled with fuel-efficient ECO-Dynamic CVT that provides fast and smooth driving experience.
