Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Donates Engines and Powertrain Set to Klongthom Industrial and Community Education College in Krabi, Empowering Skills Development of Automotive Industry Talents

KRABI – January 16, 2025: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has continued to empower the next generation of automotive industry talents with its recent donation of engines and powertrain set to the Klongthom Industrial and Community Education College in Krabi. The donation forms a part of the automaker’s commitment to empower next-gen talents, strengthen education in Thailand and develop a sustainable vocational talent-pool in the automotive industry. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has been running this Engine Donation Project for the past 10 years, providing more than 242 engines and powertrain sets to 112 automotive educational institutions across Thailand.
Consisting of a new 4N16 engine with advanced automotive technologies from NEW TRITON, a 4N15 engine block, an R6M5A manual transmission, differential, and power-steering rack, the donations play an important role in the education process by enhancing the students’ knowledge and abilities through exposure to the latest automotive technologies. Consequently, the students will be able to stay abreast with the latest technologies and developments, preparing and arming them with the necessary knowledge and skills, and boosting their employability and career opportunities.

(Head Office) for their generous contributions to our institution’s educational efforts. The engines and powertrain set will most certainly enhance learning as well as teaching experiences. During the event, Mitsu Chookiatyont Krabi also showcased the MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS HEV, MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT 2024, MITSUBISHI TRITON ATHLETE 4WD, and MITSUBISHI ATTRAGE SMART ECO-CAR, all of which were also available for test drives so participants can have first-hand experience of Mitsubishi’s advanced technologies.
In addition to the roadshow and test drives, students were also given training about the automotive technologies, as they participated in hands-on workshops of the new 4N16 engine and R6M5A manual transmission. To ensure that students received top-notch tutelage, the training sessions were conducted by Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy, in collaboration with technicians from Mitsu Chookiatyont Krabi.
Established since 2015, the engine donation project is a part of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s commitment to educate and develop a sustainable talent pool for the automotive industry. It is also a part of the company’s CSR direction ‘To Contribute and Grow with Thai Society’ with three main pillars that focus on Education, Environment, and Health.
