Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Donates Engines and Powertrain Set to Chumphon Industrial and Community Education College to Empower Sustainable Auto-Tech Education in Thailand

CHUMPHON – September 26, 2024: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recently donated Engines and Powertrain Set to the Chumphon Industrial and Community Education College as a part of its commitment to strengthen education in Thailand and development of vocational workforce in the automotive industry. Consisting of New 4N16 Engine (Engine set), 4N15 Engine, R6M5A Manual Transmission, Differential and Power Steering Rack, the donated items will be used to enhance the knowledge and abilities of students, allowing them to keep up with changes in modern automotive technology, and boosting their employability and career opportunities.
Mr. Sarote Maartlert, Executive Vice President of Sales & Aftersales, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, “Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mitsu Mitthae join hands to provide Chumphon Industrial and Community Education College with tools and hands-on knowledge for real-world work experience for the students. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has committed to develop skills and abilities in collaboration with various educational institutions in Thailand to ensure the sustainability of the automotive industry’s talent pool and ecosystem.”
Mr. Rakwilert Raksarat, Director of Chumphon Industrial and Community Education College said, “We are deeply grateful for the contributions by Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mitsu Mitthae. Our students will now be better equipped with the knowledge and experience of advanced automotive technologies from Mitsubishi Motors Thailand. This will contribute greatly to the development of future automotive leaders and experts.”
Mr. Nuttakit Jomket, Managing Director of Mitsu Mitthae Co., Ltd. added, “It is heartening to see that we can give back to the community. We are delighted to collaborate to ensure the sustained development of quality personnel for Thailand’s automotive industry. As this industry’s use of advanced technology is gathering pace all the time, the high-tech engines and powertrain set from Mitsubishi Motors Thailand will allow the students to familiarized themselves with the latest high-tech and advanced technologies.”
During the event, Mitsu Mitthae also showcased the Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS HEV, Mitsubishi PAJERO SPORT 2024, Mitsubishi TRITON ATHLETE 4WD and Mitsubishi ATTRAGE SMART, all of which were also available for test drives.
In addition to the vehicle roadshow and test drives, students were also given training about automotive technology, and joined hands-on workshops of the New 4N16 Engine, and R6M5A manual transmission. The trainings were conducted by Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy in collaboration with technicians from Mitsu Mitthae Dealership.
The engine donation project was established in 2015, in-line with Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s commitment to educate and develop a sustainable talent pool for the automotive industry. It is also a part of the company’s CSR direction ‘To Contribute and Grow with Thai Society’ which focuses on three pillars including Education, Environment and Health. Aside from Chumphon Industrial and Community Education College, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has also donated modern high-tech engines and powertrain sets to more than 100 educational institutions previously.
